Leadership 8: Week of February 12-14
We are excited to announce that our school will be hosting a Valentine's Day candy gram event! Spread some love and kindness by purchasing a candy gram for just one dollar. These sweet messages will be sent to anyone you choose, making their day extra special. The grade 8 Leadership class will be running this special Valentine's Day event.
Next week, Monday, February 5th through Thursday, February 8th there will be tables set up by the office that will be collecting donations for the Canadian Mental Health Association. This will include a message for the donor to fill out and a sweet Valentine's Day treat for the recipient of the message. Crushing it messages will be delivered to the recipient at the end of the day on Valentine's Day.
Did you know that identifying three specific things you are grateful for each day can support positive mental health? It trains your brain to scan for and appreciate the positive. What an all-around win!
Marshall Time – Focus of Kindness and Respect
This past Friday, and for all Fridays in February, teachers will be reviewing student expectations and engaging students in conversations around respect and kindness. These conversations will lead into Pink Shirt Day (February 28).
Athletics Update
The wrestling season has now come to an end. Congratulations to all wrestlers who practiced and competed at quad and divisional meets. A special thank you to Ms. Boulton and Ms. Lerch for coaching and working with these student-athletes. Without your time and dedication, these opportunities would not be possible.
Volleyball practices and games continue this week. Further information can be found on our athletics webpage: CLICK HERE
