Option (for semester #1 only) change requests can be made using the link below by Wednesday, September 10, 2025. This is a request - nothing is guaranteed as many classes are full. Option change requests will only be accepted through the following link: https://forms.gle/4Db15ri1qL3c7SPq6

MSS Terry Fox Run & Fundraising | #TerryFoxSchoolRun

This year, our school is proudly taking part in the annual Terry Fox School Run to continue Terry's dream of a world without cancer.  It’s been 45 years since Terry’s Marathon of Hope, and we are proud to be carrying on this tradition at our school. Despite the challenges that Terry faced, he never quit in his effort to help others suffering from cancer, no matter what. For this year's Terry Fox School Run, we are going to try our very best, no matter what, just like Terry did. Please support our school's fundraising efforts today!  Marshall Springs' support of this event  will include:

  • A homeroom challenge Terry Fox Run in Physical Education on Friday, September 19th.
  • A whole school Terry Fox run on Friday, September 24th.
  • Homeroom fundraising “Toonie for Terry.”

In the spirit of encouraging our ability to raise funds to support the Terry Fox Foundation, homerooms will compete against each other in combining their PE run homeroom km totals and total HR funds raised.

Donations will be collected on Wednesday, September 24th, prior to the run. Alternatively, the safest and easiest way to fundraise is to donate online to individual homerooms through our school page, located here: https://schools.terryfox.ca/98049. Donations made online of over $20.00 receive a donation tax receipt.  Links to each homeroom's individual fundraising page are posted in the student's HPE or PE&W Google classroom.

If your student would like a shirt, they may be purchased through the Terry Fox online store https://shop.terryfox.org/  and the Calgary Terry Fox Run at Fort Calgary on Sept. 14, 2025 (registration 9:00 a.m.) – details at run.terryfox.ca/92903

“This year’s theme is FINISH IT, honouring Terry’s hope and dream to run across Canada. Terry once said, ‘All I can say is that if there is any way I can get out there and finish it, I will.’ By participating in our Terry Fox event, we continue in Terry’s footsteps and support those who are fighting cancer.
