Gr. 9 Field Trip - River Watch
Our Gr. 9 students will be participating in a full day field trip on the following dates:
- Monday, October 21: HRs 9-1, 9-2, 9-5.
- Tuesday, October 22: HRs 9-3. 9-4, 9-6.

Athletics Update
Congratulations to our Cross-Country Running team on a very successful season. We are so proud of your participation and dedication!
Basketball and Soccer activities continue this week. Practice and game/meet schedules are posted on our athletics board near the main gym and can also be found on the athletics website.

Picture Day
Picture Day will be Monday, October 7. All students and staff at MSS will have school photos taken on this day. If families would like to purchase school photo, information will be attached to the photo proofs that will be sent home with your children in mid-October. All purchases are now made online through the Lifetouch portal. Picture re-take day is currently scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Student Progress Conference - Round #1
Our first round of student progress conferences will take place on Thursday, October 24 & Friday, October 25.
- Thursday, October 24: 5:00-8:30pm.
- In-person: MSS Main Gym.
- Friday, October 25: 8:30am-3:30pm.
- Virtual: Microsoft Teams.
- Non-Instructional Day: No classes for students.
We will be using school conference manager again this year for all conference bookings. You can access conference manager through your MyCBE \ PowerSchool account. If you do not have an account, please sign-up by CLICKING HERE.
MSS Enrichment Society - Casino Night Volunteers
Volunteer opportunities for "Marshall Springs Casino Event - Saturday November 2nd & Sunday November 3rd, 2024" are now open. Please click on the following web link (or copy it into your web browser if clicking doesn't work) to go to the signup sheet:
To sign up, just follow the instructions on the page. It only takes a few seconds to do. Revenues generated from casino nights (~70k+) support technology, athletics, music/band, field trips, core academics, physical education, CTF classes etc.
Gr. 6 Immunizations
Public Health Nurses will be at MSS on Wednesday, October 23 for Gr. 6 Immunizations. Paperwork was sent home and needs to be signed by a parent/guardian and returned to the school.
Cross-Country Running Wrap-Up Party
The Cross-Country Team wrap-up party is Tuesday, Oct. 8 at lunch in the Foods room. Team members will be served lunch (pizza and treats) so they do not have to bring a lunch that day. Congratulations to all participants on a great season!
