  • Dr. EP Scarlett presentation to Gr. 9s.
  • Jr. Boys Basketball playoff game at John Ware @ 4:30pm.
  • Sr. Boys Basketball playoff game at Sam Shaw @ 4:30pm.
  • Sr. Girls Basketball playoff game at Sam Shaw @ 6:30pm.
  • MSS hosts Sr. Boys Basketball semi-final games (Div. A & B) @ 4:30pm.
• Wednesday, November 22:
  • Jr. Girls basketball finals at Midsun: TBA.
  • Jr. Boys basketball finals at Louis Riel: TBA.
  • Sr. Girls basketball finals at MSS: TBA.
  • Sr. Boys basketball finals at McKenzie Highlands: TBA.
• Thursday, November 23:
  • Regular day of classes at MSS (8:30am-3:10pm).
  • Student Progress Conferences: 4:00-8:00pm in main gym.
• Friday, November 24:
  • Non-Instructional Day: NO School for students.
  • Student Progress Conferences: 8:30am-3:30pm virtual through Microsoft Teams.
• Monday, November 27:
  • Principal Advisory Council Meeting.
    • Marshall Springs Staffroom at 5:00pm.
• Thursday, December 7:
  • Winter Concert and Art Show.
    • 6:00-7:30pm @ Marshall Springs.

Student Progress Conferences

Our first round of student progress conferences (SPCs) will take place on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24.

• Thursday, November 23
  • Regular Bell Schedule: 8:30am-3:10pm.
  • SPCs: 4:00-8:00pm in main gym.
• Friday, November 24
  • Non-Instructional Day: NO School for students.
  • SPCs: 8:30am – 3:30pm (virtual through Microsoft Teams).

We will be using an online booking system again this year.  The online system opened for booking on Wednesday, November 15 @ 8:00am and will remain open until Thursday, November 23 @ 3:00pm.  In order to book student progress conferences, you will need a MyCBE account.

Winter Concert and Art Show

Ms. Biggar and Ms. Walker will be presenting our winter concert and art show on Thursday, December 7 from 6:00-7:30pm @ Marshall Springs.  The art show will be in the main entrance/foyer/learning commons and the winter concert this take place in the main gym.

Yearbook Art Contest Winners

We have our yearbook cover art winners! Thank you very much to all who entered.  The level of skill and care shown in the pieces is outstanding.  Congratulations to Siraia T. from 8-5 for winning the front cover, and Matthew D.V. from 8-2 for winning the back cover.  Art from Paneet P., Isaac G., Emily T. and Kaitlyn C. will also be featured on the inside of the yearbook.  Artists can pick up their original art starting Monday, November 20 from Mrs. Hartling.

Principal Advisory Council Meeting

The next meeting will take place on Monday, November 27 at 5:00pm at Marshall Springs.  School administration will be reviewing the following:

• 2022-2023 School Development Plan (SDP).
• 2022-2023 Achievement.
  • Report Card.
  • Gr. 6/9 Provincial Achievement Tests (PAT).
• 2023-2024 School Demographics.
• 2023-2024 School Development Plan (SDP).

We are looking to move from a Principal Advisory group to an official school council.  In order to accomplish this, we need parent/guardian volunteers to assume numerous vacancies to form a school council.
