Information for this free art workshop was sent out in a previous weekly message, please take a look and talk to your students to see if they are interested. Space is limited to the first 40 students who sign-up for each grade group.
National Geographic Live (Grade 6) - May 28, 2024
Grade 6 students have a fantastic opportunity to attend a National Geographic Live show this Tuesday. Transportation and tickets have been provided by Arts Commons Education - Thank you!
There are a few extra tickets available. If parents/guardians are interested in seeing the show and bringing students who are not in grade 6, please contact Mr. Bhardwaj. Tickets will be available on a first come basis.

Track and Field Update and Call for Volunteers
Athletes Spaces Available: Track has a little something for everyone with the opportunity to run, jump, or throw. We have space for athletes on the MSS Track and Field team and would involve more of our students. If your student is interested but has not come out, please encourage them to come to practice next week. Practice information can be found on the MSS website here https://marshallsprings.cbe.ab.ca/track-field and posted on the MSS Athletics bulletin board in the hallway leading to the gymnasiums.
Parent/Guardian Volunteers Needed: To support this event, we are looking for parent volunteers to help with our MSS school duties and supervision at the Divisional Track Meet (June 6th). We appreciate this support, as the track meet cannot go ahead without it. If you have CBE volunteer clearance, and can volunteer, please connect with Ms. Elisha O'Lain at emolain@cbe.ab.ca.

Location: Foothills Athletic Park (2431 Crowchild Trail NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4L6)
Grade 9 Farewell – Heritage Park - June 5, 2024
Grade 9 Farewell celebration at Heritage Park will take place on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 6:00pm-11:00pm. The cost for Heritage Park will be $60. This includes admission, rides on the mid-way, a buffet dinner, and a DJ dance. Transportation to and from the venue will NOT be provided. Field trip forms, as well as additional information, will be sent home in the upcoming weeks. The fee for Grade 9 farewell can be paid through your MyCBE account.
This event is for current MSS Grade 9 students and staff only. However, a Farewell Ceremony, in which parents are invited to attend, will be held on June 26, 2024. Details for this event will be communicated at a later date.

The PAT schedule for Grade 6 & 9 students is below. As per previous emails you received from the school and the CBE, Grade 6 ELA and Math PATs for the 23-24 school year have been canceled.
