Increase in Inappropriate Student Behaviour - Review of Expectations
Over the last two weeks, we have unfortunately seen an increase with inappropriate student behaviours. Last Friday in Marshall Time Homeroom, teachers reviewed the following MSS student behaviour expectations with students.
- Be Positive - kindness is key.
- Go to all scheduled classes - be prepared and be on time.
- Cell Phone / Personal device policy.
- DO NOT DISRUPT TEACHING AND LEARNING!
- Keep hands/feet to yourself at all times.
- DON’T touch other people.
- The majority of issues we are dealing with start with students touching other people.
- DON’T touch/take things that do not belong to you (phones/locks/clothing/shoes etc.).
- “I was joking” or “I thought it would be funny” or “It’s ok because they are my friend” are not acceptable excuses for inappropriate behaviour.
- DON’T enter classes that you do not belong to.
Students who are continually unwilling and/or unable to meet behaviour expectations will not have the privilege of participating in school based events for the remainder of the 24-25 school year.
MSS School Council / Enrichment Society Meeting
The final meetings of the 24-25 school year will be held virtually through Microsoft Teams on Monday, May 26. The school will provide updates regarding planning for the 25-26 school year.
We are also recruiting new members for school council 25-26. The enrichment society will be providing an update on casino funds received, fund requests/approvals, and information of the next scheduled casino opportunity.
