Good morning MSS families,

June! Hard to believe there are four weeks of school left in the 25-26 year. We had a very busy last week with field trips, false fire alarms, thunderstorms, some beautiful sunshine and our first PAT exams for grade 6s and 9s.

A special thank you to all students, staff, and community members who were able to attend our annual open house / art show / spring concert last Thursday.

Lots of rain in the forecast over the next week or so - please make sure your child is dressed for the weather. In regards to the track meet on June 8, the decision to go ahead or cancel is made the morning of at approximately 700am. MSEC / MSS Casino Fundraiser - November 2026

Mark your calendars - our next casino fundraiser nights are November 1-2, 2026. MSS is fortunate to have MSEC (enrichment council) and a casino fundraiser ~every 18 months. In the past, casino fundraiser events have generated 70-80k for school use that has included technology for the school and various programs, lighting for the drama program, funding for field trips, equipment for Phys Ed. etc. This additional source of funds, outside our budget, is essential to continue providing the opportunities we do for students.

Please consider volunteering to support this event.

Provincial Achievement Tests are based on what students have been learning throughout the school year.
