Athletics Update

Exciting Volleyball Opportunities for Students – Starting January 6, 2025!

We’re kicking off the New Year with fantastic volleyball programs for all skill levels! Whether your child dreams of playing competitively, enjoys friendly games with peers, or wants to develop new skills, there’s something for everyone.

Inter-School CMLSAA Team Tryouts

  • Junior Teams: Open to Grades 6, 7, and 8
  • Senior Teams: Open to Grades 8 and 9
    Tryouts begin January 6. Encourage your child to join and represent our school while building teamwork, confidence, and leadership skills!

Noon-Hour Intramurals
Our Competitive and Recreational Leagues are perfect for students who love volleyball and want to stay active during lunch! Sign-up sheets are posted outside the main gym; let’s see even more teams sign up in the first week back!

MSS Development League
Does your child want to learn or improve their volleyball skills but isn’t part of a team? The Development League offers opportunities to grow their confidence, learn the game, and have fun with peers. Plus, they’ll gain lifelong skills for staying active; some of our teachers still play in local leagues!

Let’s inspire a love for sport and physical activity. We look forward to seeing your child on the court in January!

Coffee and Conversation with School Administration

Our next coffee and conversation session with school administration will take place on Friday, January 17 @ 10:00am in the MSS staff room. Coffee and light snacks are provided - all parents/guardians of current MSS students are welcome to attend. The main area of conversation will focus on high school transitions and PowerSchool 101: Support for Parents/Guardians.
