Good morning parents/guardians,

Here we are…the last week before Winter holidays.  We have a full five (5) days of learning along with Spirit Week activities.  We are looking forward to a great week of learning, school spirit, and community!

Locker clean-out for students will occur on Thursday, December 21.  All contents of student lockers (other than school materials), need to be taken home, recycled, or thrown in the garbage.  Please ensure that your child(ren) bring an extra bag of two on Thursday.

As always, students are expected to attend all classes, be kind and respectful, and keep their hands and feet to themselves.

This will be the last weekly update for 2023.  The next weekly update will be sent to parents/guardians on Sunday, January 7, 2024 @ 10:00am.

Important Dates

• December 18-22: Spirit Week.

  • Last day of classes for all MSS students.
• Monday, January 8:
  • Classes resume for all MSS students.

MSS Spirit Week: December 18-22, 2023

The final week of regular classes before the winter break will have a different theme each day to promote school spirit.

• December 18 – Anything but a Back-Pack Day.
• December 19 – Reverse It Day.  Students dress as staff, staff dress as students.
• December 20 – Be You Culture Day.
• December 21 – Almost Famous Day – dress as a celebrity.
• December 22 – Keep it Cozy PJ Day.

Purdy’s Chocolate Fundraiser

Purdy’s Chocolate orders have arrived and are ready for pick-up. Please come to the school office this week Monday-Thursday between 8:00am-3:30pm to pick up your order. If you want your student to bring your order home, please email or call the school office to let us know. We will not release orders to students unless we have spoken to the adult on the order first.

MyCBE / PowerSchool Account – Report Cards

As in previous years, paper copies of report cards are no longer printed.  Semester 1 report card will be available for viewing in your MyCBE / PowerSchool Account on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

A MyCBE / Powerschool account provides parents/guardians and students seamless access to information and transactions using a modern and effective technology platform. Parents/guardians have online access to:

• view their children’s academic information (schedule, grades and attendance).
• register for transportation and noon supervision.
• pay fees and request fee waivers.
• book school conferences.
