Good evening MSS families,

One week to go before students return on Monday, August 31. Staff are returning this week to plan and prepare - we are very excited to start the 26-27 school year.

A few reminders:

• The main office will be open August 26-28 from 900am-1200pm.
  • Regular office hours resume August 31.
  • Teachers are in planning meetings from 900am-330pm daily and are not available.
• Families will receive an email from your child(rens) homeroom (HR) teacher on Friday, August 28. This email will contain:
  • Name of your HR teacher & location of classroom.
  • Day #1 information.
  • Students will receive their full timetables and find out all of their teachers and classmates on Monday, August 31.
• We are not accepting HR change requests as we are currently over projected numbers and are expecting more students to enroll by the end of September.

This week would be a great time to start preparing students for returning to school...areas of focus and conversations could be:

• Conversations around a return to school.
• Appropriate sleep and wake up times.
• Limiting/reducing screen time.
  • Personal Mobile Devices (PMDs) are not allowed during instructional time and/or when transitioning from one class to another.
• Positive interactions with students and staff.
• Appropriate school behaviours.
